Happy St. Patrick's Day! Devyn and Kinley are 9 months old today. I cannot believe we are nearing their first birthday already. How is that possible?!?!
The girls had their checkup today with the pediatrician. Devyn weighed in at 18 pounds 3 ounces and is 26 1/4 inches tall. She has made so much progress over the past few weeks! She is now able to sit up completely on her own, and has also become mobile....a combination of army crawling and slithering. She can even get from her tummy to an upright siting position.
Devyn Marie
Kinley weighed in at 16 pounds 1 ounce and is almost as tall as her sister at 26 inches tall. She is still quite a bit behind her sister developmentally but has been making progress as well. She is getting very good at rolling from her tummy to her back, but still doesn't have the upper body strength to sit on her own. Her legs, however, are very strong! She loves to "stand up!"
Kinley Grace
Devyn and Kinley have finally decided they are ready to eat some solid foods. They have become fans of oatmeal, and will even eat some apples, bananas, or sweet potato depending on their mood. So far, green beans and avocado have been politely declined.
The girls are slowly taking over the house...the living room décor currently includes two exersaucers, two bouncy chairs, one swing, one activity mat, and a big bin of toys. It's only a matter of time before "operation baby proofing" is completely underway.
Where do Mom and Dad sit?
Devyn......where are you????
Devyn loves..... eating paper, sucking on her toes, drinking water from Dad's cup, splashing in the bathtub, long naps, and playing with blocks.
Kinley loves....snuggling, sticking out her tongue, chewing on ANYthing, laughing at her sister, watching the baby channel on TV, and playing with her toys.
The hard part about waiting too long between blog entries: deciding which photos to include! Here are a few more I just HAVE to share:
Sleeping Devyn....looking uncomfortable!

They love these squirrels on TV that hide acorns.
